Hi there and welcome,

I'm Danie and I set up Little Sing Song in the Summer of 2020 largely because I missed singing with others during lockdown but also because I wanted to make sure other parents (especially first time parents) were doing ok during the pandemic.

A commercial lawyer by trade and a musician by passion, I studied Law & Music at university. Although a classically trained soprano, I have a few more strings to my bow (pun intended) as I also play piano and violin and I'm a dancer (ballet, tap, jazz, ballroom and latin).

I've been teaching children dance and music for over 20 years in my spare time and as a mother of 2 young children I've seen first hand how important the arts are for children’s development. I also miss the days of going to gigs and concerts and so thought why not give parents and carers the chance to listen to professional live music whilst looking after their little ones?

Hopefully we'll get to know each other better during the "chit chat" section of Little Sing Song. After all, we've all heard "singing is good for the soul" and "it's good to talk" and at Little Sing Song there’s space for both.
